Bike Size Guide

Choosing the right bike size is crucial for comfort, safety, and riding enjoyment.

The right frame size is one of the most important factors when choosing a bike. A properly fitting bike not only increases riding comfort but also protects your back and joints, reduces fatigue, and improves control and efficiency.

What is Frame Size?

Frame size refers to the vertical distance between the center of the bottom bracket and the top of the seat tube.

  • Measured in centimeters (cm) or inches
  • 1 inch = 2.54 cm
  • Determines ergonomics, seat height, and riding stability

How to Measure Your Inseam

The ideal frame size is usually calculated based on your inseam (inside leg length).

1

Stand barefoot upright against a wall

2

Place a book or level between your legs (like a saddle)

3

Measure the distance from the floor to the top of the book

Calculation by Bike Type

Mountain Bike

Inseam × 0.225 = inches

Example: 84 cm × 0,225 ≈ 19"

Road Bike

Inseam × 0.665 = cm

Example: 84 cm × 0,665 ≈ 56 cm

City / Trekking

Inseam × 0.66 = cm

Factor between 0.64 and 0.66

Calculate Correct Saddle Height

The correct saddle height is just as important as frame size for optimal riding comfort.

Inseam × 0.885 = Saddle Height

Example: 84 cm × 0,885 ≈ 74 cm

Important Tip

When in doubt, choose the smaller size – a bike that's too big is harder to control. We recommend a test ride when possible.
